Vintage Pocket Watches
Vintage pocket watches can be found at antique stores and various auction sites. Even though they have been replaced with wrist watches, there is a timeless quality about vintage pocket watches. They were first invented in the 16th century, the time of the renaissance period. Gadgets and machinery began to be explored around this time and hence the pocket watch came into existence. Vintage pocket watches came in different finishes and various logos, designs and inscriptions could be etched on the surface. Vintage pocket watches were not only a mechanism of telling time, but a way for customization and a sense of personal style. Pocket watches are about a sense personalization instead of simply wearing a watch around your risk. You look far more sophisticated by pulling out a pocket watch from your chain, flipping open the cap and reading the time rather than looking at a watch on your wrist or looking at the time on your mobile phone. Vintage pocket watches are also about customization and making such property your own. While the antique style watches is few and far between, you can still find vintage pocket watches dating all the way back to the twenties. If you happen to find an antique pocket watch, it is probably worth a lot of money and you’d be lucky if you could find one that would work. You can also find a variety of modern pocket watches that suit your individual taste and style.
