Edwardian Jewelry

Edwardian jewelry reflected the opulence of the day. Colorful gemstones such as sapphire and rubies were popular. Emeralds and diamonds were the most popular stones. Complex designs resembling lace and ribbons were also designed around the stones.

By the end of the Edwardian era, the suffrage movement was in full swing and certain jewelry was meant to symbolize the movement. The color green meant hope, white was for purity and purple signified dignity.
